D&F is derived from the traditional Chinese ritual vessel "Ding", which has the double function implication of "accepting" (absorption) and "setting" (display). "Accepting" is the aesthetic understanding of the works, while "setting" is the process of continuing the visual experience of the work through secondary creation.
